Kerri Overstreet

My approach to counseling is energetic, authentic, non-judgmental, and collaborative in nature. I highly value the importance of a strong, trusting relationship and see it as the basis for a successful therapy experience. Through our therapeutic relationship, I can help by providing tools, reflection, support, and unconditional positive regard.

I have a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board-Certified Counselor and Certified School Counselor. I received the honor as East Baton Rouge Schools 2020-2021 Counselor of the Year!

I have worked in primary/higher education, inpatient, and clinical settings. In addition, I am a career counselor as designated by the National Career Development Association and served as the 2014-2015 President of the Louisiana Career Development Association. My extensive background has given me the experience, resources, and empathy needed to help you address your individual concerns through the therapeutic process. I will walk with you, step by step, throughout this journey of self-exploration and improvement.

Outside of the office, you can find me spending time with my husband, at the gym, Target or at home relaxing!
